What They Do

  • Social service workers work with children in many different circumstances. They come from bad homes and have any mental,physical, and or emotional behavior.

HOW TO BECOME A SOCIAL WORKER

  • You have to get your bachelors degree which is four years. You need some internship but you do need to be able to read,actively listen, have good speaking and coordination.

PAY FOR A SOCIAL WORKER

  • A child's social worker makes $44,240 dollars a year.

JOB OUTLOOK

  • Since 2014 being a social worker has had a increase in jobs. In the next five years being a social worker is going to have a 25% job increase.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Being a social worker is very hands on. Especially because your working with children it could be inside one day and outside another. It all depends on the child's needs. Could be in a hospital,clinic,child welfare offices and many more .
