Pin tweets

To keep the important ones on the top.
Whether you're holding a contest, won an award, or published a new post on your blog, you probably want the tweet about that to gain more impression, clicks, and shares.

This is a favorite feature of mine when it comes to Twitter: the ability to pin tweets to the top of your profile page.

This type of feature is also available on other social media channels, such as Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn, so make sure to pin your important posts on those channels as well!

Tip: This is great to use if there's a specific tweet you'd like your newest followers, or visitors to your profile page, to see first.

Pinterest

Collect and organize your favorite things, all in one place

invite your power users and customers

to pin to your boards.
Pinterest is a fun site, but it can also become overwhelming with the amount of work you need to do to create and curate specific content for each of your boards.

Here's the trick: invite your users and customers to pin on your boards; this is how you can collaborate with one another and crowdsource your content.

I love inviting users who are known for being experts in a certain field, and who are also power users of our product. These users not only enjoy using your tool, but they also enjoy using your tool to create content about something they love and have a passion about.

Use the 'Move Pins' Button

to Move pins to other boards or to the top of the same board, with ease.
Accidentally pinned something to the wrong board? Or want to move a pin to the top of the board?

My new favorite feature on Pinterest is the new Move Pins button.

It allows you move pins from one board to another or move a pin to the top of the board, without having to start from scratch, or going through the process of re-pinning and deleting the original pin to avoid the creation of duplicate pins.

Use "Secret Boards"

to build out your boards beforehand.
Pinterest can be used in so many different ways. Other than adding content to our own boards, we've also used Pinterest for showcasing decks created in specific themes, and for contests.

Another feature that I really like in Pinterest is the ability to create secret boards.

If you're using Pinterest to curate or collect content to be linked to in a future blog post, an upcoming contest, or what may have you, odds are you probably don't want it to show up in your follower's Home Feed just yet. By creating a secret board, you'll be able to keep the board, and it's pins, private until you're ready to publish your blog post or launch your contest.

Facebook

Share and connect with family, friends, and your favorite brands

Quickly Switch between YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE AND YOUR COMPANY PAGE

when liking or commenting on a company post.
Remember the days where you had to click on the down-facing triangle to switch between your personal profile and your company page, just so you can reply to a comment on a page post in your Facebook newsfeed? Good news is, you no longer need to do that.

My favorite feature of Facebook at the moment is the simple tool that appears at the lower right corner of your page posts that gives you the ability to switch between your Facebook personas, allowing you to like and comment as either your personal profile, or your company page.

Add a 'Call-To-Action' button

To get visitors to sign up, shop now, use app, and more.
A new feature in Facebook I just learned about is the ability to add a call-to-action button. I don't have any prior experience with this button, so I'm interested in seeing how effective it will be for us.

There are 7 calls to action you can choose from:
-Book Now
-Contact Us
-Use App
-Play Game
-Shop Now
-Sign Up
-Watch Video

If any of you have found this effective or just enabled this button for the first time, I'd love to hear about your experience with it!

Google+

Where Social networking and authorship come together

USE CIRCLES STRATEGICALLY

to Select who you share your content with.
If you're familiar with Twitter, you'll know that Twitter Lists are pretty useful. Well, Google+ has something similar to Twitter Lists, but different at the same time; they're called Cirlces.

Similar to Twitter Lists, you can sort those that you "circle" into different groups, customized by you. But different to Twitter Lists, Circles in Google+ also gives you the added benefit of being able to share posts with people in those specific Circles, and those Circles only.

Instagram

Share your story with images

Edit your post

To fix typos and include hashtags you forgot to Include without deleting and reposting.
I was extremely excited when I learned about this new feature on Instagram: the ability to edit your post.

If you've ever noticed a typo too late, or forgot to include an important hashtag, you can now squeeze it in, seconds, minutes, hours, even days, later without having to delete and repost it.

use the link in your bio

To direct followers to new blog posts, YouTube videos, etc.
If you're using Instagram to promote your business, products, or services, you've probably noticed that links in your post are not clickable. The only area on Instagram that allows a clickable link is in your bio.

Here's the trick: Use the space in your bio (that's normally used for your website) to add, update, and switch between links of a new blog post, YouTube video, or whatever it may be.

Tip: When you post an image about your new product, blog post or service, direct your followers to that link by including a call to action in the post.
