Social media is the interaction among people in which they can create, share or exchange information or ideas in virtual communities.

Customer engagement is the key to customer coming back and social media is the perfect place to develop a healthy relationship with your customers, just having a small conversation with them can decide if they come back or not!

Social media is becoming increasingly more popular every single day. Almost every smartphone user uses social media, so the target audience for social media marketing is growing every single day.

MARKETING

Social media marketing is becoming the most popular platform of marketing with big companies because it enables companies to engage with the next generation; the possibilities are endless with social media.

TESCO MOBILE

Approximately a year ago using Tesco Mobile was 'uncool' despite it being one of the best value for money mobile network platforms; but this all changed thanks to their fantastic Twitter team. A combination of whitty replies and funny challenges and there Twitter account grew from 20k to 70k since Christmas, many people choose their deals because they have sold it so well on there Twitter.

INSTAGRAM

Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video sharing and social networking service which allows users to take pictures and videos and share them almost instantly with a choice of filters to apply to them. Instagram is the perfect place to engage with similar companies and customers, my favourite Instagram feature is the fact that you connect to a community similar to your posts using hashtags, I believe this is a perfect place to develop a businesses audience.

HOW I CAN IMPROVE IGROUPS SOCIAL MEDIA

I have many years of using various social media networks and I know Facebook and Twitter inside out and I believe that I can significantly improve the connection with customers from the day I start; if I am successful. I know the key to effective social media and this will effect igroup positively. I will take and create images to post to possibly a new Instagram page, I will connect to the 50k followers on Twitter and I will keep the 20k Facebook fans updated.
