  • Snickers are made by the same company as M&Ms.
  • The name came from a favorite horse of the Mars Family.
  • Snickers are sold in more than 70 countries.
  • Over fifteen million Snickers bars are manufactured daily.
  • Traditionally, Snickers have around 16 peanuts in each bar.

  • In 1930, Snickers was first launched. It cost a mere 5 cents!
  • In 1933-1935, Snickers was a two-piece bar called Double Snickers.
  • In 1936, it was reverted to its original format. (Single bar called Snickers)
  • In 1984, Snickers was the official snack food sponsor of the Olympics.
  • Until 1990, Snickers was sold under the brand name Marathon in the UK.
