Water- sloths usually gets their water from plants that they eat
Shade- living in the treetops actually provides
Soil- sloths defecate right next to their tree on the soil every 8 days to fertilize their tree and stay close to their habitat

Insects, rodents- they sometimes eat small insects or rodents
Plant leaves- they love to chew on plant leaves especially Cecropia trees
Tree- a tree is their main source of food and shelter, they hang from tree branches and live in the treetop

ABIOTIC FACTORS
The cold- Sloths can't shiver to produce heat in the cold, and when it gets too cold, they cannot digest their food
Power lines- sloths sometimes latch onto power lines and get electrocuted
