What sparked my intrest

  • To me sloths are an interesting species. It's hard to understand how they have survived for so long, even when they cant even fight for themselves.

What is their defense?

  • Sloths' claws can dig into a tree effortlessly, so if they are shot by someone they will still be hanging even in death
  • also they can swipe their claws at any predators, but it isn't very effective because of how slow they are.

Why are they so slow

  • Sloths have an extremely slow metabolic rate which means they move at a sluggish pace through the trees.
