Sloan Gonzales 101

What I do...


I work for the Communication Center here at UCCS. I am the Coordinator of Curriculum across Campus. Which pretty much means, I help develop communication outreaches that are delivered around campus to help students improve their communication skills. I am also a graduate teaching assistant and teach a public speaking class for freshman and sophomores on campus.


In addition to that I have my own consulting company called Uniquely Diverse. I work with various groups in the Colorado Springs Community on issues of diversity, leadership, bullying, culture building, and strategic planning.

My Family

5 things to know about me...

• I love Colorado and discovering all it has to offer.
• I love to cook and have over 50 cookbooks.
• I am addicted to Netflix but seriously who isn't.
• I am a very passionate person especially around issues of social justice and diversity
• I love meeting new people and having great conversations over a great cup of coffee.

My Future

The future includes earning my PHD and teaching at the collegiate level. As well as, growing my consulting company and sharing my passion and heart for the marginalized in our society.


I am excited for this class because I feel that it will help me better understand leadership and education from the lens of cultural diversity.
