MOM, DAD, THIS IS MY ADVISORY TEACHER. MR MATTHEWS.You already know him though.
We've done a lot of things this year. But one of my favorite things that we have done is making posters representing the acronym soar. Service-minded, on time and on Task, attitude in check, and respectful. The posters were pretty fun to make (even though my teams were pretty bad) and it was a nice way to learn to co-operate with my advisory

Attendance: So far this year, I have had 1 excused absence and 0 unexcused absence. My absence percentage is 96.4 %
Tardies: So far this year, I have had 0 tardies to classes. My tardy percentage is o%

I speak to my teachers in class and outside of class to get help when I need it sometimes. This is because I will usually lose something or need advise, and I will often ask mr.mathew, because Know him the best out of most of my teachers.

For Attendance, I am meeting Standard. For being on time, I am exceeding standard.

I plan to maintain my attendance by making sure I am always prepared and ready for the next class. I could set reminders on my iPad, or try to better memoize the scedule. The support I need to do this is a good reminder system, and a knowledge of when and what is happening at what time. Such as the schedule in Mrs.kings class.

I can describe my grades by...
Exceeding Standard – demonstrating above grade level skill and thinking (Meeting Standard- demonstrating the grade level skill and thinking (M)
Approaching Standard- demonstrating skills and thinking that is on its way and close to being at grade level (A)
Beginning Standard-is just beginning to demonstrate skills and thinking that will lead to grade level (B)
Not Enough Evidence - used only when not enough evidence has been provided to determine level on the standards (NE)

For Advisory I have a satisfactory. There are only 2 grades: satisfactory and unsatisfactory. I am successful with building stronger relationships I feel this way because, if I hadn't had advisory, I wouldn't have really gotten to know anybody I the school.

For Period 1 I have PE. my Grade is approaching standard. I am successful with trying to lead my team. I feel this way because, on several occasions, I've at least tried to lead, and my team has done well (I hope) when I did.

For Period 2 I have Spanish. My grade in that is approaching standard as well I am successful with paying attention in class I feel this way because the majority of kids I the class are pretty disruptive.

For Period 3 I have pre-algebra. In it my grade is meeting standard.
I am successful with working hard on classwork I feel this way because when Mrs.king hands out worksheets, I try my hardest to what I can, even when it's difficult.

For Period 4 I have science. in it my grade is meeting standard. I am successful with listening and absorbing the information the Mrs.beatty is giving. I feel this way because I find science very interesting, and want to learn as much as I can. So this is the what I would at least want to have for myself

For Period 5 I have history. my grade is, once again, meeting standard. I am successful with, as I said before, listening and absorbing the information the teacher is giving me. I feel this way because I a also very interested in history, and it can even be fun, like science. I feel like that helps me with the whole, listening part.

And finally, For Period 6, I have language arts. in it, my grade is meeting standard. I am successful with committing to one reason or evidence. I feel this way because when I right, I try to make my facts substantial and reasons clear.

In order to improve in my classes, I need support in school to make sure I do not start being disruptive, or go off topic. The best person to help me with this is my teacher or table-mate, because they are the nearest and can walk up and say something to the likes of "your off topic" or "be quiet" in order to succeed in my classes, at home I need time for some r and r, but I also need tone pushed to do my work when I'm being lazy. The best people to help me with this re my mom and dad, because they know how to get it through to me that I need to start doing my work.

The habits that I have learned in advisory are: awereness-tuning in and paying attention. Empathy-seeking to understand others/their experiences. Collaboration, working together and insuring that our actions demonstrate a science of responsibility to the learning community as we work toward a common goal. And perseverance, sticking with it, oven when it gets challenging. And seeing learning as a procces that requires a willingness to receive ideas and work.

I've used awareness in school to help me succeed when I was playing soccer, and was observing who should play what position.
Awareness helped me by letting me know what the best strategies was to win the game.

My Class 1 artifact is the morning routine of exercises.
The standard for this artifact is that I have to be able to do 7 push ups and 20 sit ups
This standard means That, if I can do that, then I am in good physical shape.
For this artifact I had to Do 7 push ups, which works on muscular strength, and 20 sit Ups, which works on muscular endurance.
From the rubrick I know I am meeting standard.
I struggled with Doing the push ups.
I can improve by Doing them more often, so that doing 7 becomes easier.
I learned from this artifact That being in good shape is important in life.

My Class 2 artifact Is an example of some of the things I've learned in Spanish Class.
The standard for this artifact is that I should be able to make a standard greeting in Spanish.
This standard means That I have been listing and trying to get the Spanish lodged in my memory.
For this artifact I had to Give in oral presentation with a classmate
From the rubrick I know I am at beginning standard.
I struggled with Saying the right lines under pressure.
I can improve by Repeating the lines in my head when I'm bored,

SO THAT I RECALL STUFF EASIER

My Class 3 artifact is a growth tracker, which is a fancy phrase for colorful graph of my mistakes.
The standard for this artifact is That I turn everything I on time
This standard means that the teacher knows that I know what I'm doing
For this artifact I had to Finish and turn in all of my work
From the rubrick I know I am meeting standard
I struggled with reassessment, because I often did the exact same ting I did last time.
I can improve by Making sure I drop any bad habits before the next time I take a reassessment.

THIS ARTIFACT HELPED ME LEARN THAT PUNCTUALITY WITH WORK IS A STAPLE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Class artifact 4 is for science, and to from a project where we have to write down why and how water on a paper towel on a warm bag of water evaporates faster than water on a paper towel on a room temperature bag of water.
The standard for this artifact is That we know wher, what, and why this is, and to list it in causal order.
This standard means That we know what's going on, and the order in which it happens.
For this artifact I had to write down why and how water on a paper towel on a warm bag of water evaporates faster than water on a paper towel on a room temperature bag of water.

Something I struggled with was keeping everything in causal order.
I can improve on this by making sure that it becomes a routine.
Something that I learned from this artifact is that even the simplest things, such as water evaporating, have something complex in them.

Class 5 artifact, history. this artifact is an assessment about primary and secondary sources
The standard for this artifact is that I can tell the difference between a primary and secondary sources.
This standard means That, if i were to look at a source, I would know what is reliable.
For this artifact I had to Define a primary and a secondary source, and then look at some quotes to determine which is which.

I struggled with Putting in some bulk in the paragraph


I can improve by Finding new ways to write things.
I learned from this artifact That what type of source you have, and were you got it from, matters.

Class 6 artifact. Language arts. for this artifact I have a snapshot auto biography listing three important things in my life.
The standard for this artifact is Also listed above
This standard means that we are able to, in a two day period, construct a decent slideshow.
For this artifact I had to Make a slideshow with an intro, 3 things about my life, and an about the author.
From the rubrick I know I am Meeting standard.
I struggled with Putting all my thoughts into one slideshow.
I can improve by Narrowing the subject down a little more

I LEARNED FROM MY ARTIFACT THAT ITS EASY TO THINK ABOUT IMPortant things, but it's hard to list why and how it's important. Especially if it's something personal, like my dogs.
