SLAVERY IN EGYPT

You might be surprised to think about slavery today,but a long time ago in ancient Egypt they would always practice slavery, some slaves were brought from other countries when they won battles or wars.

WHAT CAUSED SLAVERY? It was caused by when soldiers starting capturing their enemies in war. Instead of killing them they made them slaves. Slavery was at its first peak in ancient Egypt, Greece and in the Roman Empire.

Egyptians depended on slavery, slaves were prisoners of war and criminals. The Egyptians bought slaves from other countries. They shaved their heads so that they could identify them easily. Slavery in Greece was not as harsh as it was in Egypt.

When you look at the wonderful temples and buildings in Egypt, you have to remember that most of them were built using slavery. In ancient Egypt, slaves were very important.

Most of the slaves were servants, entertainers, gardeners, scribes, and farmers

80% of the slaves in Egypt were poor people . Egypt has a 'rainy season' that causes the Nile river to flood. But the flooding helps the crops because of the good soil.

The children of the slaves became the property of the owner, the owner was responsible for taking care of these slaves. Most of the people thought that slaves actually lived a life that was more comfortable than the common people, because they were cared for, fed and didn’t have to pay taxes.

THE RESULTS OF SLAVERY

• People treating eachother unfairly
• Judging looks
• And worst of all making them do stuff they dont want to do

What is the resolution of slavery? I think slavey was really unfair and unnecessary, but thank god it's illegal now, and now it's fair I'm so happy that no more slavery is going on😀

How to prevent slavery...
TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME!!!! I think people are all the same and all have to be treated the same because we are all human beings and just because of our color or the way we look doesn't mean we have to be treated differently. So if you guys don't like slavery...
