How it started
Donald Defreeze escaped from prison with Little and Remiro. Then met two young woman Patricia Soltysik and Nancy Ling Perry. They stayed with them then met other members. These members were young couples that were well educated.
First act of violence
During 1974 the group killed a superintendent (Marcus Foster) of a school. They killed him because he supported the identification system of students
They went into hiding after the next two months. While in hiding group members Russell little and Joe Remiro were arrested for the murder of Marcus Foster. The S.L.A then kidnapped Patty Hearest.
This kidnapping made the whole country come to a halt. The S.L.A wanted two million dollars to feed 100,000 people in a twelve month program. The Program failed and Patty Hearest denounced her parents. She then became a member of the S.L.A.
In an apartment in Compton the S.L.A were in a shootout with the cops Defreeze, Wolfe, Soltysik, Hall, Atwood, Ling Perry we're shoot or died from chemical gas that was thrown in the apartment.
Patty Hearest father withdraw the 50,000 reward for Patty's safe return home. On April 21, 1975 the rest of the S.L.A were arrested from a bank robbery the group served 8 years in prison and president Jimmy Carter commuted Patty Hearest sentence from 7 years to 22 mouths. Which marked the end of the S.L.A.
