PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Skeletal system

  • Give body shape and support
  • Helps us move
  • Provides protection
  • 206 bones
  • Stores materials

JOINTS

WHERE TWO OR MORE BONES MEET

LIGAMENTS

ATTACH BONES AND JOINTS

TENDONS

CONNECT THE MUSCLE TO THE BONES

Connective tissue-
Connects all parts of the body and provides support
(Tendons, ligaments, cartilage)

Skeletal muscle- voluntary muscles attached to bones, and allow you to move

Smooth muscles- involuntary muscles that control movement within the organs or the body
Ex.(blood vessels,digestive,organs..)

Cardiac muscles- involuntary muscles that forms the heart

MUSCLE TISSUE-
Contracts and shortens making body parts move

THE FUNCTIONS OF THE INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM

  • Protects from infection and injury
  • Regulates bldy temperature
  • Produces vitamin D
  • Recieve information from the enviroment
  • Prevents from water loss

Epithelial tissue-
Type of tissue that covers the surface of your body on the outside (covering of organs )

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

  • Central nervous system is made up of
  • Brian and spinal cord
  • Peripheral nervous systen is made up of
  • Nerves

NERVE TISSUE- type of tissue that carries impulses back and forth to the brain from the body
