His approach with the congress is a very emotional and aggressive one. His vocabulary contributes to this.

The author uses very frightening metaphors or phrases to convey his meaning. This motivates people to be afraid and convert.
5. Is he effective? Why or why not?
Yes, he is extremely effective, thanks to his word choice and most likely how he read it to his congregations.
