SIMULATION IN NURSING

ADVANTAGES

• Students are better prepared to take care of actual patients.
• Opportunities to learn when clinical site locations are limited.
• Learning while maintaining patient safety
• Self evaluation.

DISADVANTAGES

• Apprehension from Nursing staff
• Expensive equipment needed.
• Technological errors and training for equipment.

Powtoon is a software that lets you create short animated videos. The benefits are that it tends to be more engaging towards the audience. However, it can also be seen as childish.

I chose to use Haiku Deck. I chose it due to its concise format and it’s availability on my iPad. I do find it to be very limited it what it can do. Even with the free option, it leaves much to be desired.
