Sharks

Only up to 10 humans are killed by sharks per year. 100 million sharks are killed. We are a threat.

  • The smallest shark is the dwarf  lantern shark (6 inches)
  • The biggest shark is the whale shark (46ft)
  • The fastest shark is the short fin manko shark, it can go up to 46 mph!
  • The slowest shark (greenland shark) at top speeds can go only 1.6 mph!

When in Dangerous water...

  • Don't where shiny jewelry
  • Don't make splashes
  • Travel in groups
  • Don't swim with cuts (blood)

Only about 30 out of more than 400 sharks will attack.
