  • There are more 456 species of sharks swimming in our oceans
  • Most sharks tend to live for about 20-30 years
  • Sharks eat things like fish, crustaceans, mollusks, plankton,krill, and other sharks
  • Sharks have a very good sense of smell which lets them smell the blood of their prey
  • Sharks migrate great distances and this helps them move through entire ocean basins

  • Sharks rarely attack people
  • You're 1000 times more likely to drown than getting killed by a shark
  • Shark attacks average by 16 attacks only each year
  • There is also less than 1 shark attack fatalities each year
  • Between 10 million and 20 million shark die each year due to fishing
