I was named by one of my Aunts. She had a best friend who left high school and missed her so much. She liked the name Shannon.

My name comes from the River Shannon Ireland - called Abha na tSionainn in Irish.

Shannon - "wise river" is an Irish name.
The variant Shanna is an Anglicisation of Sionna ("possessor of wisdom")

I work with Navajo Head Start. Started on January 26, 2004 in Crownpoint NM as a Parent Involvement Coordinator. In 2007 started with Central Office with the same title and worked with Policy Council, Supervised 5 Family Service Coordinators, started to work with ERSEA, Family Services, compiling PIR, reporting to OHS of enrollment numbers and other management duties. Today, I am an ERSEA/FE Liaison and delegated with ERSEA/FE Specialist duties. I also worked on Child Plus Student Database in development which holds 3000 + children along with colleague Rena Ben.
