Scientific Management

Craftsman vs Factory Workers
Scientific management
emerge as an off shoot of the industrial revolution.
When machines were created, mass production of things were done.

This resulted to the lowering of prices. With the lowering of prices demand for things exponentially grew.

aside from inventing machines, processes and workflows were created. One example of this is the invention of ASSEMBLY LINE.

With this, factory workers were hired. They were not expected to be craftsman. they were just assigned to one specific task day in and day out.
