- Children are not small adults
- Children can not communicate as easily
- Physican and emotional toll
they often react differently to drug products than adults do. In order for a pediatrician to help sick children and adolescents, they must prescribe medicines in the appropriate dosages that have only been approved and tested for the treatment of adults.
