LONG TERM/SHORT TERM GOALS

LONG TERM GOALS

  • Long term goals are goals you would want to do in the future.
  • For example, my long term goal would be going to a good college.
  • Long term goals cannot be achieved overnight,
  • It takes time, thats why its called longterm goal.

SHORT TERM GOALS

  • Short term goals are goals you would achieve in a short period of time.
  • For example, my short term goal would be able to get good grades
  • These short term goals could be achieved within a couple of weeks

SMART GOALS

  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Relevant
  • Time-based goals

WHAT ARE SMART GOALS?

  • Setting is easy but achieving them isn't.
  • Thats why setting smart goals are important
  • It is your first step to make your goal reality

WANTS AND VALUES

  • Wants-something you want but you don't need.
  • Need- a need is something you need
  • For example, i want another MK purse but i dont need it.
  • I need food and water also shelter

  • Multiple intelligence teaches us how we learn
  • Or how we are taught.
  • For myself,im a visual learner,
  • I like to learn if i see it i cant do things
  • In my mind.

  • Every decision-making process produces a final choice
  • Chocolate or strawberry? Life or death? We make tons of quick decisions
  • Decision making is a process,
  • Depending on certain situation

  • self concept is the most basic part of the self-scheme
  • Its like self awareness
  • Self concept refers to ourselves
  • For example, i learned how self concept impacts large
  • Areas in my life.

TIME MANAGEMENT

  • Time management is being able to contorl uour time
  • On to what you do, heres some tips
  • Put the most important tasks at the top
  • It's OK to say no
  • You'll be more organized if you work when you're at your best.

CLUTTER MANAGEMENT

  • Cluttering would be holding on to something sentimenall
  • I like to keep my everything organized
  • So clutter is not a problem for me

STRESS MANAGEMENT

  • Stress is a big thing for everyone
  • We all get stressed out
  • But we all have to learn how to control it
  • Im mostly stressed on exams

CRISIS MANAGEMENT

RAPE

  • Rape is a type of sexual assault
  • There are all different kind of rape
  • Date rape, gang rape,spousal rape
  • Theres so many more.

SUSCIDE/DEPRESSION

  • Theresa lot of risk factors
  • And warning signs of suscide.
  • Depression carries a high risk of suicide.
  • Iv never been suicidal but i have been depressed before

COMMUNICATION

TYPES AND STYLES

  • Verbal and non verbal
  • Verbal- talk face to face or on the phone
  • Non verbal- Non-verbal communications include facial expressions,
  • Tones and also hand gestures.

I MESSAGES AND YOU MESSAGES

  • I messages is refering to ourslef
  • For example, "I" turned my work in
  • You messages is like blaming someone
  • And putting pressure on that person

DATING

UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Make the other feel bad about her/himself
  • Do not make time for each other
  • Ignore each other when one is speaking

Overall in basic living skills
I learned so much on how to live and how to handle certain situations in life. The most thing I liked about this class is how we always did discussions and barley never ever did worksheets.
