  • Winter solstice date: Dec. 21-22.
  • The sun is at the lowest point in the sky
  • It is the shortest day of the year.
  • It is the start of winter.
  • The sun is Tilted toward the Southern Hemisphere.

FALL

  • Fall equinox date: sept. 22-23.
  • The sun rays are tilted toward the equator
  • Equal amount of sunlight.

SPRING

  • Spring equinox date: March 20-21.
  • The sun rays are tilted toward the equator.
  • So equal amount of sun.
