  • Island of proverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material
  • properity.
  • This quote says that one hundred yers later the negro will have
  • little or no money and this is a metephor.

  • This quote is saying that the negro should have freedom and equality 
  • as same as the white. This is a simile.

  • oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and 
  • injustice. This quote is saying that Mississippi has no justice, it will be
  • turned into a place that you can be safe. This is a metaphor.
