  • He was one of the greatest composer who wrote ragtime. Ragtime is a mixture of african american and classical music.
  • In 1890 ragtime got started.
  • He wrote the song maple leaf rag which is a ragtime classic.
  • scott got famous through the publication in 1899.
  • In 1971 Joshua Rifkin bought Scotts work which was nominated for a grammy awards.
