CUMULUS CLOUD

  • Cumulus clouds form below 6,000 feet.
  • They are white puffy and they look like cotton balls.
  • They last for about forty minutes.

STRATUS CLOUD

  • Stratus clouds form at about 6,000 feet.
  • They are layered.
  • They look kind of like really big mattress.

CIRRUS CLOUDS

  • Cirrus clouds form 20,000 feet.
  • The temperature is so low up there ice crystals form.
  • Ice crystals is the result of the freezing of super cold water drops.

FOG

  • Fog is basically a cloud on the ground.
  • In fog is misty water.
  • Usually fog means later it will be sunny.

NIMBUS CLOUDS

  • Nimbus clouds mean thunder storms.
  • Nimbus means it's already raining or snowing on the inside.
  • Produces precipitation
