5 WAYS WE USE METRIC MEASUREMENT IN OUR DAILY LIVES

Ever needed liquid medicine when you're feeling under the weather? Well you use volume to determine how much medicine you need to take in in milliliters. It's all part of metric measurement!

You measure something each day like using length to determine how long you are from your destination in a car in thousands of centimeters. Each thousand centimeters is called a kilometer. (one hundred meters too)

You most likely look at a clock each day to see what time it is. Time is part of metric measurement also! Sometimes we use time to see how long it takes us to get from point A to point B in seconds.

You probably have gone to a frozen yogurt place before where they weigh your yogurt to find the price. They are determining the mass of the yogurt (how much "stuff" is inside) in grams.

Okay, so we never wear a sweater outside in the summer. Why? It's because we know the temperature measured in degrees Celcius.
