PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Nebulas
Nebulas are the beginning of the lifecycle of stars. They are made of dust and gases.
protostars
protostars are the second stage of the life cycle of stars. The process takes 10,000,000 years until the next stage
Main sequence
the main sequence are stars that are fusing hydrogen atoms to form helium atoms in their cores. Most stars in the universe are main sequence stars including the sun.
supergiant
supergiant stars are the fourth stage in the lifecycle of stars. They are the exact same thing as giant stars only several times greater in diameter.
white dwarf
the white dwarf is the second to last stage of the life cycle of stars. White dwarfs are burned out cores of collapsed stars that, are like dying embers, then they cool and slowly fade away.
black dwarf
the black dwarf is the last cycle in the lifecycle of stars. they are white dwarfs that have cooled down to the temperature of the cosmic microwave background, and so is invisible.
