Points of interest?
The best time of the year to see the deciduous forest is during autumn because the leaves are changing colors and the animals are out looking for food. Shawnee National Forest – Southern Illinois.
Green Ridge State Forest – one of the two largest forest’s in Maryland

ENDANGERED SPECIES?

BALD EAGLE, Long-Eared Owl, Cherry Birch

Global warming has an immense effect on the temperature of deciduous forests. Not only does global warming change the temperature but cause an uproar of disasters. Things like this can involve the destruction of massive amounts of trees. These disasters can cause an increase in carbon dioxide and an decrease in moisture. Events like this can also cause showers of acid rain. This would cause the health of the forest to plummet.

WHY IS THIS BIOME GLOBALLY IMPORTANT?

Deciduous forest are so important to the world because of all its biodiversity. This biome is the home to many various species. Most of them plants, but this biome is also home to species of animals, some being endangered. The majority of the trees in this biome are used for lumber to construct buildings and even homes if permitted. If we didn't have the deciduous forest it would be extremely difficult to build. This biome is one of the most visited. Mostly being used for camping. Some of the most famous national parks were created from deciduous forest.
