  • Definition- occurs when soecies try to utilize a resource in limited supply
  • Two examples- sea anemones compete for territory in tide pools and large insects defend space on cottonwood leaves

HABITAT

  • Definition- space where an organism lives
  • Two examples- red eyed tree frogs live in a tropical rain forrest and rattlesnake lives in a dessert
