These maps show physical features of an area, but with contour lines rather than colors.

Aeronautical Maps
These maps are designed to assist aircraft navigation.

Concept Maps
These maps are graphical tools for organizing and representing knowledge

Spider Maps
These maps show a schematic diagram of bus routes in a particular area

Hierarchy Maps
These maps visually communicate order and importance.

Flow Charts
These diagrams represent an algorithm, workflow or process.

Gene Maps
These maps help describe the spatial arrangement of genes on a chromosome.

Floor Plan Maps
These floor plan maps are drawings of the relationships between rooms, spaces, traffic patterns, and other physical features at one level of a structure.
