  • Educate Yourself on Danger Signs

  • Give your children consistent love and attention
  • Make sure your children are supervised
  • Show your children appropriate behaviors by the way you act
  • Be consistent about rules and discipline
  • Keep violence out of your home

WHAT PARENTS SHOULD DO CONT.

  • Try to keep your children from seeing too much violence in the media
  • Talk to your children about the violence that they see on TV shows, in the movies and games
  • Help them understand serious consequences for violent behaviors
  • Discuss with them ways to solve problems without violence
  • Help your children stand up against violence

  • Should talk to the school counselor
  • Tell an adult
  • Talk to your parents
  • In a serious case tell a police officer

THE CONSEQUENCES THAT COME WITH SCHOOL VIOLENCE

  • Detention
  • Suspension
  • Expulsion
  • In a worse case maybe even arrested
