Barber was a 20th century composer, but did not have 20th century styled music. He was the right man at the wrong time.

Samuel entered the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia at age 14.

Barber had wrote music until he was 70 when he died of cancer.

He won a Pulitzer Prize for Vanessa and Piano Concerto.

Barber also really enjoyed the cello. He wrote many songs for the cello. The piano wasn’t the only instrument he loved.
