SAFAVID EMPIRE

This empire is greatly known. Ruling across the area of what today is known as Iran. With strong military power and strong economic power, ruling from 1501-1736 took much work.

They valued art, and poetry greatly. Iran at this time was the center of all these things with sixty three mosques, forty eight religious schools, one thousand and eight hundred one shops and two hundred sixty three public baths in one city.

Religion was greatly valued as well. Tax and government money went towards promoting religion, bettering religious schools, mosques and other important religious places such as shrines.

With a large trading center there was a strong economy. With location of the trading center, it was done by boat, camel and mule.

This empire rose to power in 1501; driven and inspired by faith. They built their foundations off of their central government and made culture their center. They used money to make elegance out of their cities and made everything around art, religion, poetry and culture.
