Rosario Castellanos was a famous Mexican poet and outhor. She was one of Mexico's most important literary voices in the last century even though she died young at the age of 49. She became inspired to write by Saint Teresa of Ávila and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz which were both religious Mexican writers.
