PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Capulets are having a costume party. Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin, finds out that Romeo is there and he decides to fight him but Lord Capulet stops him. Romeo sees Juliet and it’s love at first sight. He sneaks her away to have a moment and the nurse walks in on them. She tells Juliet that her mother wants to speak to her and then tells Romeo that Juliet is a Capulet. Romeo then decides to leave and Juliet wants to know who he is, so she tells the nurse to ask him. The nurse comes back and tells Juliet that he is a Montague and they’re both sad.

One part of this song says, "And I just got broken, broken into two/ Still I call it magic, when I'm with you" this related to Romeo and Juliet because Romeo got heartbroken by Rosaline right before he fell in love with Juliet, which would be the magic. Another part says, "I don't/ Want anybody else but you" Romeo and Juliet didn't want to be separated and they didn't want anyone else but each other. Lastly, it says, "And if you were to ask me/ After all that we've been through/ 'Still believe in magic?'/ Well yes, I do" Romeo and Juliet go through so much in the week that they're together, but they still love each other.

This poem talks about not being loved by the one you love. Romeo goes through that exact thing with Rosaline before he meets Juliet. "To be unloved by the one you love, though."

Jose A. says that at first, he didn't believe in love at first sight.
But then he met Alcira and everything changed, he couldn't talk, he couldn't think, he lost a baseball game all because he couldn't keep his eyes off of her
He says that she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen.
But with the help of one of her friends, he finally got up the nerve to ask her out.
He was nervous and shaking and he could barely talk, but she agreed to go out with him and isn't that just adorable?

That picture reminds me of Romeo and Juliet because it's a replica of how they met. It's at a masquerade ball and it shows that these two people are attracted to each other. They're having a private moment like Romeo and Juliet did during the party.

This movie uses the story of Romeo and Juliet to tell a fictional story about William Shakespeare. William and Viola meet a party much similar to the one in which Romeo and Juliet meet. Viola knows that she can't be an actress because women weren't actresses back then, so she dresses up as a man and plays Romeo in Will's new play. She gives Will advice on how to win her own heart while she's dressed up as Thomas, the man playing Romeo.
