  • Sandstone is made from sediment
  • The Grand Canyon is made from sediment
  • Rocks break down and form sediment
  • Slit stone is a sedimentary rock

IGNEOUS

  • Igneous rocks come from magma
  • There are two types of igneous rock; intrusive and extrusive
  • Most rocks start as an igneous rock

METAMORPHIC ROCK

  • Granite and marble are metamorphic rocks
  • Regional rocks are named because they were pushed with heat and pressure
  • Metamorphic rocks can change back into a metamorphic rock
  • These types of rocks are formed with heat and pressure
