Deals with design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Deals with automated machines that can take the place of humans. Robots do dangerous stuff humans won't do and they have often been seen to mimic human behavior. They do Jobs like defusing bombs, mines, and exploring shipwrecks.

Robots are helping twenty-first century manufactures in numerous industries. They are used to deal with extreme settings. 70% of robot orders were used in the automotive in the early 1980s. Robotic technology was first developed in the United States. The robotics industry has been growing in the twenty-first century.

The future of robotics looks very bright and successful. Robots have come to age meaning they do things we do today. Robotics will remain relevant in the next decades due to expanding technology and science. They are working on a robot that can see little cracks in pipes. Scientist want robots to enter society with the humans.

First known robot homicide occurred in 1981. First humanoid robot debuted in 1939. There are currently 4,000 robots serving in the US military. Henrik Christensen predicts humans will have interactions with robots within four years. Robot come from the Czech word robota which means forced work or labor.

Robots were used in medicine, for military tatics for finding objects underwater and explore other planets. Robots are helpful for checking a building with a possible bombs. They can do the same thing over and over again without getting bored or sleepy. Three main parts the controller, sensors, and mechanical parts. Some robots can learn and use knowledge for future decisions.

4 Reasons Robots Are Important

  • They help us in everyday life by doing dangerous work
  • Used in military when treat of a possible bombs
  • Helps scientists learn more technology
  • They help do chores without getting bored and overwhelmed
