RNA Translation

RNA translation is the process of converting (translating) the mRNA code to amino acids to make a protein

A codon is a three letter segment of mRNA that codes for an amino acid.

The mRNA codons are matched to tRNA anti-codons.

tRNA is "transfer" RNA, which brings the amino acid to the ribosome.

The amino acids are brought to the ribosome to be assembled into a polypeptide (protein).

There are special codons at the beginning and end of the DNA and mRNA strand: the "start" and "stop" codons.
