WE SHOULD CARE BECAUSE
Hurricanes are unpredictable of where they will be located.
If global warning continues, we will see more severe storms.

I picked this because

  • Geography is my favorite subject.
  • I like learning about natural hazards.
  • The article is about a recent event.

GEOGRAPHICAL LENS

  • Hurricane Florence occurred in North Carolina
  • Typhoon Mangkhut happened in the Philippines 🇵🇭
  • Hurricanes are called hurricanes in the Atlantic and typhoons in the Pacific

CIVIC LENS

  • Brock Long is the head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency which will help rebuild the houses and buildings effected by hurricane Florence
  • President Trump has made millions of dollars in aid available for storm victims

THANKS FOR WATCHING!😄👍
