HOW IT STARTED

  • The Revolutionary War was fought between Great Britain and the 13 British colonies in America.
  • The War resulted in the death of 25,000 Americans and also the death of 27,294 Germans and British participants
  • The reasons that this conflict was caused were the voices and opinions of the colonists who wanted to be free from England. Some other reasons were disputes over money, government and philosphy. Also the resistance of Americans to taxes.
  • This war that lasted 8 years,8 months and 26days, started April 19th 1775, ended on May 12th 1784.

ACTS THAT LED TO THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR

  • Sugar Act: Taxed molasses and sugar and other products shipped into America.
  • Currency Act: Regulated the paper money issued by the colonies of America.
