Purpose of RTI

• To provide various levels of support to help all students master standards
• Tiers are descriptions of support- NOT a destination or label
• Looking at standards and prerequisite skills -deconstructed TEKS
• To catch students BEFORE they fail

new proposed Changes

• Tiers- Core (1), core & more (2), core & more and more(3) and adding Tier 4
• Inverted RTI pyramid-Tiers are fluid
• Change in format of meetings- 
• Intervention Team Meetings (RTI meetings)-1 x a month, Tier 3- parents
• Collaborative Teacher Intervention Meetings- Planning time (PLC's) weekly

new proposed Changes

• Administrative Planning Meeting-Data 3x a year
• Administrative Data Review Meeting- Data every 6 wks
• Only form needed- Parent notification F9 and F10 
• Documentation in lesson plans/monitor notes/Polaris/Data dashboard

• All about student progress
• More about instruction/assessment/planning for intervention/enrichment
