Defined in simplest terms, research is searching for and gathering information, usually to answer a particular question or problem. The ability to locate and evaluate information - which is the essence of research will be a valuable skill in many areas of your lifes.

What Are Research Resources?
Research resources are made of primary sources and secondary sources.
• Primary sources include firsthand accounts, raw data, and other original material.
• Secondary sources include material that interprets and analyses primary sources.
The research resources include the following examples;
• Print media, such as books, brochures,
• journals, magazines, newspapers, and books; and CD-ROMs
• And other electronic sources, such as the Internet and the World Wide Web.
