PRESENTATION OUTLINE
THE REPRODUCTION OF THE DUCK LEECH
How they Reproduce
The male and female duck leech rub together to give each other sperm to fertilize its eggs. Then the eggs go into a gooey cocoon for protection. Each leech holds 400 eggs. After they have been born the leech attaches it to a sheltered place like a rock .
Aftermath of The Parents
About after 21 days all of the eggs that were developing start attaching to their parents belly. The young leeches remain there until the parent finds a bird to feed on. The young leeches get off of the parents belly and go off to their next meal. When the young leeches are gone the parents die shortly after they leave.
