Islam
Islam is a monotheistic religion teaching that there is only one God and that Muhammad is the messenger of God. It is the Earths second largest religion and with over 1.8 billion followers or 24.1% of the global population, known as Muslims. Muslims make up a majority of the population in 50 countries.

Islam

  • The Islam holy-book is the Qur'an.
  • It is written in the Qur'an that God created the first woman (Eve) out of the first mans (Adam) side.
  • In the Qur'an it says that Adam and Eve were both created in a place called "paradise".

  • Muslims believe that if God wanted to create something all he had to say was "BE" and one day he did this and created everything.

Christianity
is a monotheistic religious group based on the life and teachings of Jesus also known by Christians as the Christ. It is the world's largest religion, with over 2.4 billion followers, or 33% of the global population, making up a majority of the population in about two-thirds of the countries in the world. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the savior of humanity, whose coming as the Messiah (Christ) was prophesied in the Old Testament, as described in the Bible. Christianity and its ethics have played a prominent role in the shaping of Western civilization.

  • The Christians Holy-Book is the Bible.
  • In the Bible it is written that God created the first woman (Eve) out of the first mans (Adam) rib.
  • It is written in the Bible that Adam and Eve were both created in a place called the "Garden of Eden".

Christianity Creation

  • Christians believe that it took God seven days to create everything, he dedicated each day to something different and saw that it was good so on the seventh day he rested.

What both religions have in common

  • Both of the first people have the same names (Adam and Eve).
  • Both religions call the holy figure "God".
  • Both religions have a "Tree of Knowledge" that God told Adam and Eve not to eat from but they both ate from it anyway and brought sin into the world.
