WHEN:
- Auditions are 1/25 at Cedar Creek MS
- The concert is 2/8 in the AISD PAC
- Sign-up sheets due by 1/10 at 4:00
- There is a $25 entry fee for this event
- THE 1/10 sign-up is a STRICT STATE DEADLINE!
Auditions begin at 10am. Students can not request specific times for this event unless you are taking the SAT test.
A buss will take us to the audition site from DSMS. As this is an individual, blind audition, each student will finish at different times, and Ms Frimel is not released until all scores are tabulated and verified. Therefore, please consider picking your child up from the audition site if possible as the bus will not return to DSMS until the contest is complete. (Estimated time is 5pm, according to plan).

- 3 auditioned choirs sing at a big concert
- 7th grade girls' (or Treble choir)
- 8th grade girls' (or Treble choir)
- 7th & 8th grade Tenor Bass (Boys' choir)
- Texas Music Educator Association event
STATE-WIDE EVENT
WE ARE REGION 18
AUDITION PROCESS
- Learn music with recording
- Attend morning sectionals
- Attend after school rehearsals
- Mark music & take lots of notes
- Audition cuts announced Wednesday before.
AUDITION DAY
- Auditions are in a classroom, behind a curtain.
- The judges will not see you. Only hear you.
- You will sing the cuts announced on wed (2 songs)
- Auditions are PRIVATE. Not in front of other students
- It is an individual audition with the piano accompaniment recording (you sing solo).
BADGE NUMBER
- You will check-in a receive a badge number
- KEEP THIS ALL DAY!
- You are called to audition by number
- Results are posted online by number (not name)
- Only numbers who advance are posted
