What in the course stands out most to you professionally in the 9+ weeks?

I've learned that I have truly been limiting myself with the amount of technology that I COULD be using at work. To date I've only ever used Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. I know I haven't even begun to scratch the surface but know what else is available has been a great take away for me.

Have you transferred this new knowledge to your place of employment?

I haven't yet been able to transfer this knowledge to my place of employment because the team has been doing the same thing for many years and are of the mindset that "if it aint broke, don't fix it" but I have had conversations with the director of my team of some of what I have learned. We had one meeting where I was able to share with her my Mind Map and she was impressed. She suggested that at one of our overall team meetings, that I share some of the new technologies I've learned about. I fully intend to do so in 2023.

How has your perspective on technology changed over the 9+ weeks?

My perspective on technology has changed immensely. As someone who was very scared of technology, I will say that now I am less scared of how to use technology. I always thought that most technological things were learned but I see now that its mainly self taught. When people say "you cant break it", they really mean it. You really can just keep clicking until you get it. And you can take as much or as little time as needed to learn it. I no longer feel the need to compare myself to people that are more advanced than me. I now know that they have spent more time clicking than I have. I have embraced technology and that's a huge change in my perspective than it was 9+ weeks ago.
