  • Sentence:The 14th amendment is a very important that
  • defines what it means to be a US citizen and
  • Protects certain rights of the people

15TH AMENDMENT

  • African American men got the
  • Right to vote.
  • Sentence:Dred Scott v. Sanford set the rule for African Americans
  • Not voting and this rule was in place until the 15th Amendment.

  • Sentence: The Ku Klux Klan used threat and voilence
  • To stop African Americans from voting.

  • Texas was readmitted into the Union on March 8,1870
  • Sentence: Texas joined the Union again on March
  • 8,1870.

GOVERNMENT EDMUND DAVIS

  • He won the race for governor in 1869. The Government created a state
  • Police force and state militia.
  • Sentence:Governor Davis proposed several programs
  • That the legislature made into laws.
