HOW THE AUTHOR KEEPS YOU INTERESTED

  • Lots of action, and new characters are shown very often.
  • Lots of different conflicts internal, and external.
  • Man vs. self, man vs. man, man vs. nature.
  • Point of beiw changes from chracter to characters.

GOLLUM

  • Antagonist. Dynamic, first listening to riddles one time then trying to kill bilbo the other.
  • Not a very big part of the story but Bilbo got the ring from him.
  • Thought I should give him a mention in this expo.
  • Unknown species. Preys on fish and stray goblins.
  • Spends all his time obsessing over the ring. And lives in an underground lake.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS THE TWO TOWERS.

  • Made by J.R.R. Tolkien. Second book in lord of the rings series.
  • Has some of the characters from the hobbit.
  • Has another journey. Has external and internal conflicts.

  • If placed in fire it has ancient scribes glow on the sides and they tell how to destroy it.

GOLLUM/SMEAGOL

They have some characters the same, like the ring and gollum. Have a sort of the same story line to go on a journey and complete a goal. They both go on a journey to complete a goal. Same genres, and same author. Lots of man vs. man, man vs. nature. And some internal man vs. self.

They don't go on the same journey and to the same place. They don't have the exact same era as bilbo. In The Lord of the rings the two towers bilbo is depicted as much older than when he was in his book.
