HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

  • Had war campaigns to the medditeranean sea and into nubia.
  • Had great construction projects, such as cities, temples and tombs.
  • His interest in architecture resulted in the erection of more monuments.
  • He had more monuments than any of the egyptian pharaohs!
  • The campaigns restored land to Egypt that had previously lost to empires.

TIME PERIOD HE RULED:

  • 1279 BC- Ramses II took the throne.
  • Ruled for 66 years from 1279 BC- 1213 BC.
  • 1213 BC- Ramses II died from a variety of health problms.
  • Third ruler of the 19th dynasty.
  • Ruled for the second largest reign of ancient pharaohs.

Ramses benefited Egypt because He also had a big interest in architecture. Therefore, he built a lot of cities and buildings. That is why he benefited Egypt.
