DECLARATORY ACT

  • AN ACT for the better securing the dependency of his Majesty's dominions in America upon the crown and parliament of Great Britain.
  • The colonists were upset because of this because taxes increased and They chose to ignore it
  • They continued totax the colonists and sajd they couldn't do anything about it.

THE QUARTERING ACT

  • 1765 required the colonies to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies.
  • The colonists refused to house birtish soldiers, leading to a war and tension
  • They were angry with the colonists' rejection
