NLP Model

  • Quantum NLP is the art and science of human excellence. New scientific discoveries show us clearly that we are creating our reality through the use of our language. By teaching ourselves more effective language patterns, our brain automatically forms new neurological pathways that naturally lead to new behaviors and better results

Sensory Input Channels

  • Visual
  • Auditory
  • Kinesthetic
  • Olfactory
  • Gustatory

Filters

  • Deletion
  • Distortion
  • Generalization

Deletion

  • When we selectively pay attention to certain aspects of our experience and not others

Distortion

  • When we make shifts in our experience of sensory data by making misrepresentations a reality

Generalization

  • We draw global conclusions based on one, two or more experiences

Q&A

  • When two people have the same stimulus, why don't they have the same response?

Internal Processing Filters

  • Meta Programs
  • Values
  • Beliefs
  • Attitudes
  • Decisions
  • Memorie

Meta Programs

  • Most unconscious of the Internal Processing Filters
  • Content-free
  • Deletion & Distortion filters
  • Can help you predict states
  • Can be used to predict behaviors, actions
  • Not good or bad; simply how people process information

Values

  • First level where filters have content (evaluation filter)
  • Arranged in hierarchy
  • What people typically move toward or away from
  • Generalizations about deep belief systems

Beliefs

  • Convictions
  • Certain in things true or real
  • Generalizations about the state of the world
  • On/Off switches for our ability to do anythin

  • Determine our actions
  • This model the map (IR) is not the territory

University of Pennsylvania

  • 1970 communications research
  • 7% result of word
  • 38 % result of verbal behavior (tone, timbre, tempo, and volume)
  • 55% result of non-verbal communication

Time Line

  • Memories are recorded and stored as we age with time
  • Our time Line is the memory coding of the brain
  • Our behavior is guided by decisions we've made in the past, whether conscious or unconscious
  • Our decisions are stored in the Time Line and Through Time Line we gain access to the

Meta Programs

  • Deepest level
  • Content Free
  • 4 Basic Filters to perception produce 20 or so complex filter

Values & Beliefs

  • Predict their internal states in reaction to certain situations, thus predicting behavior
  • Values are primarily responsible for our motivation, and determine how we spend out time
  • Inside each individual there are parts (minor personalities, or system of values) that maintain inner workings of personality, and tie all the elements togethe

Time Line

  • How we store memories affects how we experience our lives
  • Also, how we experience time
  • People DO have, inside them, a way of coding the past, present and future.
  • Almost everyone stores time in a linear way; how they store time makes a differenc

Communication Patterns

  • People talk about time is actual representation of what they do mentally
  • Anglo-European Time
  • Arabic Time

Time Storage

  • Anglo-European Time
  • Roots in Industrial Revolution
  • Orderly sequence, series of events stretches from left to right, like an assembly line
  • Conception of time is planned event
