  • Active, fun activities
  • Utilised your own strengths ie motor skills you were familiar with
  • Explained rules well
  • Had self-confidence in your own facilitation (even if it meant fake it till you make it!)

Those who excelled

  • Creative, innovative and thought outside the box
  • Had a specific purpose and taught to it - extremely well planned
  • Utilised a range of teaching resources
  • Matched their teaching style to the model and learning outcome

Weaknesses

  • Questioning - broad and sometimes lacked purpose
  • Choice of purpose was often not specific enough
  • Obvious when activity was chosen first and purpose tried to retrofit afterwards
  • Planning was lacking for a few (minority) students
